Southern Chapter Training Meeting
May 28, 2025
Chino Hills, CA
Training: Round Table [0800-0900}
An open forum for attendees to share insights, ask questions, and discuss any challenges currently being faced by our agencies. This opportunity allows for us to build connections, exchange contact information and support partnerships that support our communities.
Training: Human Trafficking Investigations [0900-1600]
Presented by: Sgt. Kim Hernandez, San Bernardino Police Department
Sgt Hernandez will be discussing how human trafficking affects our local community—where and how it exists, how to recognize and identify possible victims, and how these cases are investigated by law enforcement. We’ll also touch on a critical topic for families: online safety for parents and caretakers. Sgt Hernandez brings firsthand experience, having previously served as a human trafficking detective on the San Bernardino County Human Trafficking Task Force. Her expertise in this field is extensive, and her dedication to supporting victims continues beyond her law enforcement role. Sgt. Hernandez also serves as a board member for Magdalena’s Daughters, a local non-profit that provides awareness education to students and community members, as well as safe housing for vulnerable youth who have experienced exploitation.

If your agency’s 2025 membership hasn’t been submitted yet, please do so online here. Membership cost is an annual payment that covers your entire agency and entitles all agency employees to discounts at chapter trainings and annual seminar.
Attend a chapter meeting FREE: If you recruit another agency to join CCUG that hasn’t been a member you can attend a chapter meeting FREE (as long as we’ve received a paid membership from the “new” agency prior to the start of that chapter meeting).
Bring a co-worker: If your agency is a member of CCUG and more than one person from your agency is attending a chapter training meeting, the meeting fee will be $35 for the first person and $25 for each additional person from the same agency (attending the same chapter training meeting).
